One of our faculty and four postgraduate students participated in the Summer Exchange Program organized by the School of Nursing at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) from July 7 to August 1, 2025. The program attracted a total of 83 faculty and students of multiple countries and regions, thereby establishing a vibrant platform for cross-cultural and academic exchange.
This four-week program included online curriculum and offline practicum. The online curriculum covered five topics: the healthcare system in Hong Kong, nursing leadership, traditional Chinese medicine in nursing, AI in clinical nursing, and mental health. During the offline practicum students visited hospitals, emergency stations, nursing homes, and a VR Hospital Simulation Center. Participants engaged in in-depth discussion on topics such as “Challenges and Innovations in the Healthcare System” and “Internationalization of Medical Education.” Participants also worked in cross-cultural teams on case studies and joint presentations. Our students gave presentations on VR nursing training and multi-disciplinary management of stroke.
This exchange program has further consolidated the partnership between our school and PolyU, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation in shared teaching resources and joint scientific research.
